What Stiga stands for

stiga = S tiga = S3

Sekolah Satu Sistem

stiga is read “S tiga”, Indonesian for “S three”: three S’s for Sekolah Satu Sistem, or “school, one system”. It is also our promise: everything a school runs on works in one system, with one shared set of data.

From the morning gate to the end-of-term report card

Stiga grew out of an app a public senior high school uses every day, and is being rebuilt as a school operations platform for many schools.

Face-recognition attendance at the gate

Students look at the kiosk as they arrive. AI face recognition records attendance with the time, and homeroom teachers see right away who has not come in yet.

  • A liveness check, so a photo cannot be used to check in
  • Daily summary per class for homeroom teachers
  • Excused and sick days recorded in the same place

Timetables and school bells

Build timetables per class and per teacher. The school bell rings from the same timetable, so nobody has to press the bell button by hand.

  • Timetables per class, teacher and room
  • Automatic bells that follow the periods
  • Students and teachers see their timetable on their phone

Assessments, gradebook and digital report cards

Teachers set assessments and exams, scores go into the gradebook, and report cards are built from the same data. No more copying grades from one file to another.

  • Quizzes, assignments and exams
  • A gradebook for every subject
  • Report cards reviewed by the homeroom teacher before release

Parents stay in the loop

With the Android app, parents and guardians see attendance, grades and announcements, and can chat with the school directly. An iOS version will follow.

  • School announcements straight to their phone
  • Chat between school and parents
  • One account for several children

Modules for the everyday work of a school

One school information system: every module works from the same data, so a change in one place shows up everywhere else.

  • Face attendance

A kiosk with AI face recognition records students and staff as they arrive.

  • Schedules and bells

Timetables, and bells that ring to match them.

  • Assessments and exams

Assignments, quizzes and exams in one place.

  • Grades and digital report cards

A gradebook per subject and a report card each semester.

  • Homeroom and counselling

Student support notes from homeroom teachers and counsellors.

  • Announcements

School news for a class, the teachers or every parent.

  • School–parent chat

Direct conversations that don't get lost in a group chat.

  • Student activities

Clubs, competitions and activities outside the classroom.

  • Alumni and tracer study

Stay in touch with graduates and follow where they go.

  • Student and staff records

Core records, with import from a spreadsheet.

  • Audit trail

Every change is recorded: who, what and when.

  • Parent view

Parents and guardians follow how their child is doing.

Being designed

AI for schools

We are designing AI features that take routine work off teachers and office staff, so schools can start using AI safely. They will arrive step by step.

  • Draft report card descriptions

AI drafts the narrative of each subject’s achievement from grades and teacher notes. The homeroom teacher reviews and edits it before report cards go out.

  • Questions and rubrics

Teachers get draft exam questions and rubrics from their material or learning outcomes, then choose and edit them.

  • An assistant for parents

Parents can ask about timetables, announcements and activities in the Android app. Answers come from what the school has already shared.

  • Summaries for school leaders

Principals and office staff get a weekly summary: attendance trends, classes that need attention and important announcements.

The rule: AI output is always a draft that a teacher or the school decides on, and student data is not used to train AI models.

Who it's for

For schools and madrasahs from kindergarten to senior high, with a different view for every role.

  • Leaders and office staff

Run school administration from one dashboard: attendance, student and staff records, and announcements.

    Web app
  • Teachers

Enter grades, prepare report cards as homeroom teachers, and support students with the counsellors.

    Web and Android
  • Students

See timetables, assessments, grades and school activities on their phone.

    Android
  • Parents and guardians

Keep up with attendance, grades and announcements, and chat with the school.

    Android, iOS later

The platform team uses a super-admin console to add and manage schools.

Timeline

Stiga is in development. We start with one school, then open to other schools at the start of a school year.

  1. Development

Rebuilding an app already in daily use into a platform for many schools.

    Now
  2. Pilot

A full pilot at one school.

  3. Launch

Open to other schools from the 2027/2028 school year.

Privacy from the start

Each school's data is kept separate, access depends on each person's role, and every change is recorded in an audit trail.
